Who is Scot
Scot is a born and raised Boston based runner. He got his start by competing in track in high school and college before transitioning to road races, triathlons, and eventually ultra marathons.
He began running Ultra's in 2011 (Croom Fool’s 50k), has been steadily increasing his distance completing his first 50 miler (Virgil Crest) in 2013, 100k (TARC 100) in 2016, 100 miler (Hennepin) in 2017, and ran across Massachusetts vertically (92 miles) as part of the inaugural Midstate Massive Ultra Trail race (103 miles) in 2019, and the Tahoe 200 in 2024.
He has now completed 48 races of marathon distance or longer including the Boston Marathon 3X and running the Double Boston (Boston - Hopkinton - Boston) in 2019.
In 2007, Scot participated in his first charity bike ride, a fundraiser for the New England Multiple Sclerosis Society on Martha’s Vineyard and since then fundraising and giving back has become a core part of his life. In November of 2012, he pledged to donate (and has kept up with) at least a dollar per mile run and has logged over 40k miles since then.
Scot spends his time trying to cram in as many miles as possible in between time with his family, directing races, coaching, and being a full-time software engineer.
